Rules governing the Submission of titles:

At present, there are three basic requirements: first the author must be Irish by birth or citizenship; second, the book must have been published for the first time in the calendar awards year; and third, the work must be original ie not a reprint nor a translation or adaptation of a previously-published book.


National Book Tokens Competition:

Voters can opt to enter for the this competion which will reward ten lucky voters with €250 of book tokens. NB. No purchase is necessary. Winning entries will be selected at random. Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. Winners will be notifed by post.
