Rules governing the Submission of titles:
At present, there are three basic requirements: first the author must be Irish by birth or citizenship or permanent residence; second, the book must have been published for the first time in the calendar awards year; and third, the work must be original ie not a reprint nor a translation or adaptation of a previously-published book.
National Book Tokens Competition:
Voters can opt to enter for the this competion which will reward ten lucky voters with prizes of book tokens. NB. No purchase is necessary. Winning entries will be selected at random. Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. Winners will be notifed by post.
