FONN: INCLINATION, MOOD, TUNE, MELODY
FONN is the lilting of an Irish tune and the lilting of your mood. You can say AN BHFUIL FONN ORT DUL AMACH ANOCHT? (Are you in the mood to go out tonight?) or CAD É AN FONN SIN? (What’s that tune?). Like many words in Irish, it has a double meaning. When it comes to your mood, AN BHFUIL FONN ORT? Is asking, ‘Is your body in tune?’ It’s just one of the beautiful words you’ll find in this book.
