Seo an chéad leabhar gearrscéalta ó pheann Mhichelle Nic Pháidín. Tugtar ar iliomad turas intinne muid sa chnuasach seo: chuig saol na samhlaíochta i gcuid de na scéalta; léirítear saol an cheantair ina bhfuil sí ina cónaí i gcuid eile; agus faightear blas na farraige sa chuid eile. Tá éagsúlacht as cuimse sa chnuasach seo ó thaobh ghlór an scéalaí. Insítear na scéalta ag úsáid réimse leathan daoine, páistí, mná agus fir agus a scéal féin á insint acu.

This marks Michelle Nic Pháidín’s inaugural book of short stories. Within this collection, readers embark on diverse imaginative journeys: some stories delve into the realm of imagination, others vividly portray life in her locale, while certain narratives encapsulate the essence of the sea. A striking diversity emerges in terms of the narrator’s voice throughout this compilation. The stories are narrated through a spectrum of characters—children, women, and men—each sharing their personal tales.
Is iriseoir í Michelle Nic Pháidín ar foilsíodh saothar léi sna foilseacháin Foinse, Lá, An Donegal Democrat, An Star agus an Daily Irish Mirror i measc foilseacháin eile. Bhain na gearrscéaltaí ‘Baile na mBlaincéad’ agus ‘Súile Éisc’ sa chnuasach seo an dara háit amach i gcomórtas gearrscéalta an tOireachtas i 2004 agus i 2015. Bháin ‘Léaspáin’ an chéad áit i gcomórtas scríbhneoireachta Manchain, 2018. Tá dhá leabhair ficsin foilsithe léi, An tIriseoir agus Fuascailt an Iriseora.
