Avoca unveiled as new sponsor of Cookbook of the Year category at the An Post Irish Book Awards 2022


  • The Cookbook of the Year shortlist will be announced on October 20th
  • The winner will be unveiled at the awards ceremony on November 23rd


Avoca is the new sponsor of the Cookbook of the Year category at the An Post Irish Book Awards. The Cookbook of the Year category celebrates Ireland’s best recipe filled books from food lovers and chefs nationwide and the shortlist will be announced at an event in the GPO on October 20th.

The shortlist for all categories in the An Post Irish Book Awards 2022 will be announced on Thursday 20th October, while the winners will be announced on Wednesday 23rd November.

Well-known and well-loved Irish brand Avoca has 14 locations across the country, from city centre stores in Dublin and Belfast, to garden locations in Malahide and Powerscourt. Their locations boast unique retail stores, award-winning cafés, food markets, gardens and more.

The annual An Post Irish Book Awards bring together a huge community passionate about books including readers, authors, booksellers, publishers and librarians. Celebrating and recognising the very best of new and established Irish writing talent on offer. Other categories in the An Post Irish Book Awards include Novel of the Year, Children’s (Junior and Senior), Crime Fiction, Popular Fiction, Non-fiction, Sports, Short Story, Poetry, Teen and Young Adult and Irish Language.

A television programme will be broadcast on RTÉ One television in December and will culminate in one of the 2022 winning titles being announced as the ‘An Post Irish Book of the Year 2022’.
