Barbara Byar immigrated to Ireland 26 years ago. Her collection of stories: Some Days Are Better Than Ours (Reflex Press) was short-listed for the Saboteur Awards. Her short fiction has been published and prize-listed widely. A recipient of an Arts Council Literature Bursary and an Agility Award, Barbara is currently writing a novel.
