Read about the newest award to be added to the An Post Irish Book Awards
For just shy of two decades, we’ve been toasting the best literary voices Ireland has to offer. Across a growing range of categories, from fiction to memoir to children’s books to poetry, winning an Irish Book Award is the absolute height of esteemed literary excellence and a cry from readers that yours is a work to take note of. For a small country, we take great pride in our rich literary history, and at the Irish Book Awards, we like to celebrate it as it is made. Here are all of our dazzlingly talented previous winners, across the board, from new names to most beloved.
